1999 - were you a really early adopter (I thought only prototypes of digital cameras were available then) or is this a perfect(ed) scan of an analog image?
I wouldn't say that I was an early adopter, but waited and watched until digital technology advanced sufficiently (and the price came down). After 41 years with conventional cameras and darkrooms, in 1999 I bought the first of a series of four Nikon CoolPix digital cameras at a rate of about one every year or two—they improved rapidly. At the same time, I bought my first computer in 1980, and my second one in 1999, and many since then.
