With many thanks to the Spirits of Vision and Learning, who have kept me going all these years—today is my 75th natal day, and I have not fallen off the twig yet, which is quite a surprise to me.
Apparently singing "Happy Birthday" twice is the best anti-viral spell to accompany 20 seconds of handwashing (does McCartney know about this?), so I have inserted "Tyler" into the highly appropriate "Your Name Here" slot for today. Congratulations!
What? Lacking the strength to repeat "Profligatographer" twice?
Thats okay. I am still trying to spell (much less pronounce) the name of "Giannis Antetokounmp" (Greek basketball player born of Nigerian parents)…and still washing my hands.
For the record, for my birthday, I received two pairs of socks (on discount from the hardware store), one wind-up prancing plastic pigeon, and a sleeve of six local, very fancy chocolate toppings for ice cream. Then we watched Alec Gunness's {The Horses' Mouth" on the television.
