So, why don't we do taxidermy on people? Even the recently dead would be interesting—better than photographs or movies. Almost as good—or better than— a really fine figurative portrait in oil.
Markus, Then there is the issue of those who are not yet dead—but really should be.
Turning again to Wikipedia: "Embalming preserves the human body intact, whereas taxidermy is the recreation of an animal's form often using only the creature's skin mounted on an anatomical form."
Yeah—Trump. Pence is already "only the creature's skin…"
I believe there is a classic quote from the film Re-Animator (adapted from H.P. Lovecraft's collection of short stories of the same name) in which the brilliant, amoral and semi-mad doctor says "death is just a disease". For some reason, this photograph - and your comment on it - reminded me of that. It's a good movie, too, for the genre. And this is a very good photographic image.

Probably a space problem, Tyler. You can't stack those as well ;)

Let me amend that last comment - it's not just 'very good' - it's a great photograph.
