Markus, Actually, the basis for this image originated in Florence (2011). While the emotion is Italianate, as opposed to your image, which is more a constrained. disciplined Germanic, I see this one as more influenced by the likes of the British painter, Francis Bacon.
As with so much of my imagery, subtle manipulations have been made by me, so don't confuse it with any photographic reality.
Yep. Art in the city. The martyr on the wall. And......what an image. You're definitely spot on with the resemblance to Francis Bacon. A photograph worthy of the art in question.
