When this picture was taken, Apple was beginning development of the iPhone, which would not be announced for another three years.
I was holding a little Nikon Coolpix E5000 in my left hand to take the picture.
Nearly twenty years later, we have artificial intelligence photography, but it appears that it is having problems rendering people's hands…which did not occur in this picture. Which is good because I like hands.
