Twelve years later. I find myself much like this man—even to walking with a cane,
although, alas, not in Paris, but the gray, rain of Seattle.

Nothing "Quicksilver" about me now.

What makes this picture interesting to me is the byplay against the 'main subject.' In the upper left corner there's a whole little scene played by young people. The young man might be stealing a glance at the woman walking the other way. Or he might be looking at you and your camera (not enough resolution in the jpg to really track his eyes) which would ruin that story but still leave it a good picture, with multiple aggregating sections of interest.

"What makes this picture interesting to me…" and what caught my intention, Carl, was the emblem "Quicksilver" on the gentleman's backpack. Not at all what I would expect a man of his age and formal attire to be carrying.

Hmm…I expect I meant to say "attention", but now I am wondering if "intention" was really a better choice of words.
