For what it's worth, I don't print my pictures, but look at them online, on my computer (a Mac mini with two NEC LCD 2690WUXi monitors, with one positioned horizontally and the other vertically). This has worked very well for me, and I don't concern myself with the fact that others may try to look at pictures on 'smart' phones, or tablets, or whatever generic color space—that's their choice.
On the other hand, my hearing has never been great and only diminished with age, so I generally have the computer sound turned off.
