A Side Story

The picture above began as two direct exposures, turning a bit to include a wider view:

Then I combined them using Adobe Photoshop's Automate/Photomerge/Collage algorithms. Nothing too unusual. But later, after I finished other minor refinements, I saved the file. Then I saw the results:

Oops!  So I went back to Photoshop and did it all over again, avoiding the Collage setting. 

Funny, though.
