Meditative? Hmm, I may have come by that honestly: my "dog tags" from the Army in 1965 list my religion as "Zen Buddhist". Actually, I gave them that because they would not accept "none" as a religion.
Hard learned, hard earned.
Sadly, the viewer now looks too quickly, too superficially, and misses so very much. They don't trust their own spirit to support them.
I was born in 1965, and in the obligatory army service I was taught to use anti-tank missiles, nothing religious about it. Barking dogma doesn't seem to disappear ever, ignoring it is indeed good philosophy.
