Ads like this make me wonder if advertisers think their readers are that stupid or superficial (or both) - or if they themselves are that shallow-minded. Maybe both?

... and now I found the translation for the quote that secondly came to my mind when seeing this picture: The calves march then was Brecht's way of translating the Nazi anthem "Horst-Wessel-Song" when he was in exile in the U.S.

Reminds of an extraordinary exhibit encounter in Paris. The published catalogue was titled "Allemagne, les années noires". I bought it because, although none of the text was in English, none was required for the images.
